excursionslanzarote.com (TravelON): reviews of its buggy tours
excursionslanzarote.com is a booking agent based in Gibraltar, not a tour operator. It sells 14 motorised tours with hotel pick-up and per-vehicle prices that match GetYourGuide, but it takes a 25% deposit you will not get back and charges €25 if you cancel.
- from€150per buggy (up to 2 people)
- Per person≈ €75with 2 on board
- Duration2.5 hguided
- Rating★ 4.65,581 reviews
- Prices are per buggy, not per person
- Every tour is guided
- Free cancellation up to 24 h before on most
excursionslanzarote.com has a wide range: 2- and 4-seater buggies, trikes, Slingshots, Spyders and quads. Behind it there is no buggy company, just a middleman. We checked it on 6 October 2026; we are not TravelON partners and earn nothing from bookings made there.
Quick verdict
Good for: anyone who wants a product that is not on GetYourGuide (the 200 hp Maverick, the Can-Am Spyder or its 2- and 3-hour quad tours) or who would rather pay most of the price on the day, on the island. Hotel pick-up is included on every tour.
Not good for: anyone whose dates are not fixed. If you only paid the deposit and cancel, you lose it; if you paid in full, €25 is deducted. On GetYourGuide the same tours cancel free up to 24 hours before, at the same price.
Who is behind it: TravelON and Markit Tech Ventures
The footer of every product page says TravelON World is a brand used under licence and that the site is operated by Markit Tech Ventures Ltd, registered at Portland House, Glacis Road, Gibraltar. TravelON describes itself as a booking platform and an agent selling experiences from third-party suppliers. It provides no buggies or guides: it takes the booking and passes the customer on to the local operator.
The same company is behind LanzaroteON, a content site whose "book" links lead here. Comparing the two means comparing one company with itself.

Six product pages (buggy tour, Maverick Trail, Super 173 hp, Slingshot, trike and Spyder) name Aventura Lanzabuggy as the operator. Those pages put the base at "Lanzarote A Caballo", whereas Lanzabuggy's own website gives its operating point as km 17 on the LZ-2 in Yaiza. Ask for the exact meeting point when you book. Our full review of the company is on the Lanzabuggy page.
The 2- and 4-seater buggies heading north, the sunset tour and the 4-seater on-road tour match H2O Sports' routes and prices (Guatiza, Mala, Las Nieves; El Cuervo), but the pages do not name the operator. That they are H2O tours is not confirmed.
Requirements: driver age on each product page
The 3-hour Maverick Trail accepts drivers from 18 with a full category B car licence, the same rule Lanzabuggy publishes. The Super 173 hp, the 4-seater family buggy, the Slingshot, the trike, the Spyder and the quads require drivers to be 21 (by law for trikes over 15 kW). On the quads, children can ride from age 12. Bring your original physical licence; more detail in licence, age and requirements.
Price: excursionslanzarote.com vs GetYourGuide
The list price is the same for almost everything: €150, €160, €170, €180 and €200 on both for the equivalent products. The one exception we found: the 173 hp Maverick costs €240 here and €230 on GetYourGuide and on Lanzabuggy's own website.
| excursionslanzarote.com | GetYourGuide | |
|---|---|---|
| Can-Am Trail 3 h (Lanzabuggy) | €170 | €170 |
| Maverick 173 hp 3 h (Lanzabuggy) | €240 | €230 |
| Slingshot 3 h (Lanzabuggy) | €170 | €170 |
| North off-road buggy, 2 seats | €150 | €150 |
| How you pay | 25% when booking, the rest on the day | In full, or reserve now and pay later on several tours |
| If you cancel in time | You lose €25 (or the whole deposit if that is all you paid) | Free up to 24 h before |
| Hotel pick-up | Included on all tours | Depends on the tour |
With two of you on the Can-Am Trail, it is €170 per buggy, €85 per person, on either channel. On GetYourGuide: check dates for the Can-Am Trail or for the 3-hour Maverick.
The deposit and cancellation, in plain English
This is what matters most. When you book you pay a 25% deposit and the balance on the day of the excursion.
The terms on each product page say that if you cancel in time you get the full booking back minus a €25 admin fee, and that deposits are non-refundable. TravelON's general terms set the cut-off at 14:00 the day before. In practice:
- You paid only the deposit and cancel: you lose the deposit, between €26.25 and €75 depending on the tour.
- You paid in full and cancel in time: you get everything back except €25.
- If the operator cancels the tour: full refund.
What the reviews keep saying
The site's own star ratings (nearly all between 4.7 and 5.0) are TravelON's and cannot be verified. On Trustpilot, travelon.world scores 2.2 out of 5 from just 27 reviews, and 63% of them are one-star. Recurring complaints: customer service that is hard to reach, pick-ups that never turn up, the €25 fee and deposits that are not refunded. We found no Trustpilot page for excursionslanzarote.com.
When to book here and when not to
It makes sense if you want the 200 hp Maverick, the Spyder or its 2- and 3-hour quads, which are not on GetYourGuide (there is only a 90-minute quad tour in the south there), or if you need pick-up included on a tour that does not offer it elsewhere.
For everything else, the same tour costs the same with free cancellation on GetYourGuide, or you can book direct with the operator. If you are staying in or near Costa Teguise, check dates for the north off-road buggy. Every option, side by side, is in our buggy tour comparison.
The official website is excursionslanzarote.com.
