Starting price from the GetYourGuide catalogue; your day’s price is in the calendar. Almost every price is per buggy, not per person.
Puerto Calero is the small, quiet marina ten minutes from Puerto del Carmen. For a buggy trip it has one clear advantage: you set off from the marina itself. Search for "buggy Lanzarote Puerto Calero" and you will nearly always end up with the same company, Buggies Lanzarote, which has its office in the marina's Galería Náutica and has been running since 2015.
Buggies Lanzarote is a local company based at the marina (Galería Náutica, unit 1B). According to its website, the fleet is automatic two-seater Can-Am Maverick buggies; there are no four-seaters. You drive yourself, on a guided tour, so these are off-road buggy tours rather than buggies for hire (see buggy hire).
Don't mix it up with Lanzabuggy (Aventura Lanzabuggy), a different company based on the LZ-2 at km 17 in Yaiza, which picks customers up in Puerto Calero.
On GetYourGuide, the 3-hour buggy tour with views of the volcano park does not show the supplier's name in the data we could check. The route, length and departure point all match Buggies Lanzarote's 3 h tour, but it's worth checking the "Activity provider" before you pay. Reviews and weak points are in our Buggies Lanzarote review.

The 2-hour route follows tracks behind Puerto del Carmen to Tías, Güime, San Bartolomé, Masdache and Montaña Blanca, passes lava caves and stops at a winery with a wine museum in La Geria. It comes back over La Asomada.
The 3-hour route starts along the coast towards Playa Quemada, passes close to El Cuervo volcano and Mancha Blanca, and drops down a track to La Santa, with views of La Graciosa, El Islote and Montaña Roja. It returns via Soo and the La Geria winery.
If it's your first time in a buggy and you just want a taste, the 2 h route is plenty. For €30 more (booked direct), the 3 h route adds an hour and the La Santa section.
The GetYourGuide listing talks about "views of the volcano park", and that's literal: views. No buggy drives on tracks inside Timanfaya National Park; there you can only use the LZ-67 road. El Cuervo volcano and Mancha Blanca sit within the Los Volcanes Natural Park, which is a separate protected area, and La Geria is a protected landscape with its own rules.
What you will see properly is La Geria itself: vines planted in hollows dug into the volcanic gravel (picón) from the 1730–1736 eruptions, each sheltered by a semicircular stone wall.
There's no beach or dune driving on the route either: you can't drive a buggy on sand anywhere on Lanzarote. We explain why in dune buggies and beach buggies.
The price is per buggy, not per person. Each buggy seats two, so if two of you go, you split it.
In other words, booking on the company's website is €20 cheaper for the 3 h route. So why pay more on GetYourGuide? For the terms: free cancellation up to 24 h before with a full refund, and the option to reserve now and pay later. Buggies Lanzarote doesn't publish a cancellation policy on its website, so if your plans might change, the €20 difference is reasonable insurance. If your date is fixed, book direct.
To compare with the rest of the island, see the Lanzarote buggy price table.

The company asks for a driving licence held for 2 years. Its website doesn't state a minimum driver age, a minimum passenger height or the group size, so ask when you book, especially if you're travelling with children. As a general rule on the island, passengers in two-seater buggies usually need to be at least 1.35 m tall.
Bring your physical licence, not a photo of it. If yours wasn't issued in the EU, check licence, age and requirements.
Closed shoes (no flip-flops) and a jacket from October to May: reviews keep mentioning that it's cold up high. Goggles are provided; dust scarves are on sale at the office.
The company doesn't offer hotel pick-up on its website: you make your own way to the Galería Náutica at the marina.
| From | Distance | Drive time (no traffic) |
|---|---|---|
| Puerto del Carmen | 5.6 km | 10 min |
| Playa Honda | 14 km | 17 min |
| Airport | 14 km | 21 min |
| Arrecife | 19 km | 22 min |
| Playa Blanca | 21 km | 27 min |
| Costa Teguise | 26 km | 30 min |
These times assume no traffic: add 20–30 % and leave yourself some margin. Two bus (guagua) routes end in Puerto Calero, the 24 (from Arrecife via Playa Honda and Puerto del Carmen) and the 25 (from Costa Teguise along the same coast), but the timetables published on arrecifebus.com are incomplete and some departures are very early or late at night. Check the timetable before relying on the bus.
If you're staying in Playa Blanca or Costa Teguise without a hire car, a tour with pick-up makes more sense. Lanzabuggy has 16 pick-up points in Playa Blanca and six in Costa Teguise; H2O, from Costa Teguise, offers optional pick-up for €5 per person. We compare them in our buggy tour comparison.
Lanzabuggy picks up in Puerto Calero. It has a pick-up point at the bus stop on the roundabout (09:15 and 12:55, according to its booking system). Its guided Can-Am Trail costs €170 per buggy for 3 h and covers Tías, San Bartolomé, Montaña Blanca, Masdache and La Asomada. Its strong point: on the Trail, an 18-year-old with a full car licence can drive, whereas the rest of its vehicles require drivers aged 21 with 2 years' licence.
Buggy plus sea. Buggies Lanzarote sells a 3 h Land & Sea combo (jet ski from the pontoon, then buggy) for €269 for two people; it's worth confirming which days it runs. A jet ski from Puerto Calero to Papagayo also leaves from the same marina, from €60. You see Papagayo from the sea; you can't go there by buggy, because Los Ajaches is a natural monument and a buggy convoy was fined €4,500 in 2025. More combinations in buggy and jet ski.
Dust and wind. It's an open buggy on dirt tracks: you'll end up with dust on your clothes and in your hair. Reviews say so again and again, along with the cold on higher ground. Don't wear anything you mind getting dirty.
Routes may change. On 2 October 2026 the Cabildo de Lanzarote (the island council) opened a one-month public consultation on an island bylaw that could restrict or ban buggies and quads on dirt tracks and rural land. Nothing is banned today and the tours are running, but if the rule goes ahead, some off-road sections could move onto tarmac. Confirm the route when you book. More background in off-road buggies on Lanzarote.
Older reviews. Some old reviews mention poorly maintained manual buggies; the fleet advertised today is new automatic Can-Ams.
On the Buggies Lanzarote website, €130 per buggy for the 2 h route and €160 for the 3 h route, with €10 off if you book online. On GetYourGuide the 3 h route costs €170 per buggy for up to two people.
Per two-seater buggy. If two of you share, the 3 h route works out at about €75 each booked direct with the discount, or €85 each on GetYourGuide.
Buggies Lanzarote doesn't offer pick-up on its website: you make your own way to the marina, 10 minutes' drive from Puerto del Carmen. If you need a pick-up, Lanzabuggy collects from a stop in Puerto Calero and from many points around the island.
No. No buggy drives on tracks inside Timanfaya National Park. The 3 h route passes close to El Cuervo volcano and Mancha Blanca, with views of the park, and stops at a winery in La Geria.
The 2 h route covers the centre of the island (Tías, Masdache, La Geria) and is cheaper. The 3 h route adds the Playa Quemada coast and the descent to La Santa with views of La Graciosa, and it's the only one on GetYourGuide.
