A 4-seater buggy in Lanzarote costs from €160 per buggy on tarmac and €200 on a mixed route: €40 to €50 each with four on board. H2O also has 6-seat buggies from €270. For families, the key detail is the children's minimum height.

Starting price from the GetYourGuide catalogue; your day’s price is in the calendar. Almost every price is per buggy, not per person.
With four of you, one four-seat buggy usually works out cheaper per head than two two-seaters. But not all 4-seaters are the same: some stay on tarmac, others are half on dirt tracks, and every operator has its own rule for children. This page helps you decide quickly, whether you are a family or a group of friends.
| Tour | Operator | Starts from | Terrain | Seats | Price from | Per person (full) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4- or 6-seater buggy, mixed route | H2O Sports | Costa Teguise | ~50 % tracks | 4 (or 6) | €200 (4-seater, 2 h) | €50 |
| 4-seater family buggy, on-road | Lanzabuggy | LZ-2 km 17, Yaiza, with pick-up | tarmac | 4 | €160 | €40 |
| On-road buggy, El Cuervo | H2O Sports | Puerto del Carmen | tarmac | up to 4 | €180 | €45 |
| Buggy Adventure | Paracraft | Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen | not published | up to 4 | €250 | €62.50 |
All prices are per buggy, not per person. Three people in a 4-seater pay the same as four.
The rates we saw on H2O's website for its larger off-road buggies:
| H2O buggy (Costa Teguise) | 2 hours | 3 hours |
|---|---|---|
| 4-seater | €200 → €50 per person | €270 → €67.50 per person |
| 6-seater | €270 → €45 per person | €340 → about €57 per person |
For comparison, H2O's two-seat buggy costs from €150 (€75 each for two). So four people in a 4-seater for 2 hours pay €200, against €300 in two two-seat buggies. The trade-off is that only one person drives at a time.
Lanzabuggy's on-road 4-seater is the cheapest per head: €160 per buggy, €40 each with four. Paracraft's in Puerto del Carmen is the most expensive on GetYourGuide (€250); on its own website we saw it at €241.82, but there you cannot cancel, whereas GetYourGuide allows free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
This is the H2O Sports tour that leaves from its shop in Costa Teguise. The GetYourGuide listing says about 50 % of the route is on tracks; an agency reselling it claims 70 %. Expect something in between, with more tarmac than the two-seat tour.
The route takes in Guatiza, Charco del Palo, Mala and the old dam road, climbs to the Ermita de las Nieves (about 600 m) and the island's highest area, around 670 m, then drops down through Teseguite and El Mojón and visits the old lime kilns of Teguise. From sea level to the top of the island in one morning.
The product title on GetYourGuide mentions the 6-seater option, but the price shown is for the 4-seater. We saw the 6-seater priced on H2O's own website (€270 for two hours, €340 for three). We do not know which model it is or how many they have, so if you are counting on one, confirm when you book.
Bear in mind that routes with dirt tracks may change: on 2 October 2026 the Cabildo opened a public consultation on a bylaw that could restrict or ban buggies on tracks and rural land. Nothing is banned today; check the route when you book. More in the Costa Teguise guide.

This is the small print that matters most to families.
The 1.35 m comes from Spain's General Traffic Regulations: children shorter than that must use a child-restraint system. That is why two-seaters nearly always require it, and why the family 4-seaters are the option for younger children.
To drive: H2O asks for 20 years of age, two years' licence and the original licence (no copies); Lanzabuggy, 21 and two years' licence, with a maximum of two drivers per buggy; Paracraft, 22. H2O has no weight limit. All of this in more detail in licence, age and requirements.
If you are travelling with young children or someone does not fancy the dust, the two tarmac 4-seaters are the safe bet.
Lanzabuggy, Family Buggy Tour (€160, 2.5 h): a four-seat automatic buggy with a 1,000 cc Rotax engine. It sets off from Uga, crosses Timanfaya by road, passes Mancha Blanca, Tinajo and Masdache, stops at Los Hervideros and finishes at a La Geria winery with toilets and tapas. Pick-up in Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca. Rated 4.6 out of 5, still from few reviews.
H2O, Puerto del Carmen on-road (€180, 2.5 h): includes a walk of about 40 minutes up to Volcán El Cuervo, good for children who are happy to walk, and stops at La Geria and Las Grietas.

With five or six people there are three ways to do it with H2O in Costa Teguise (2 hours):
With Lanzabuggy, the on-road 4-seater takes up to four, so five or six would need two buggies. In every case you drive as a group behind a guide, alongside other customers. To compare the other prices, see how much a buggy tour costs.
From €160 per buggy on Lanzabuggy's on-road tour and from €200 on H2O's mixed route from Costa Teguise. With four on board, that is €40 and €50 each.
Yes. H2O Sports offers them in Costa Teguise for €270 (2 hours) and €340 (3 hours) per buggy. Confirm availability when you book, because the price shown on GetYourGuide is for the 4-seater.
It depends on the tour. H2O's on-road tour excludes only under-3s; H2O's 4/6-seater mixed route asks for 1.35 m on its website. Paracraft asks for 8 years and 1.35 m.
With Lanzabuggy, up to two drivers per buggy, aged 21 with two years' licence. H2O asks everyone who will drive for their licence and ID, aged 20 with two years' licence.
Per vehicle. The €160, €180, €200 or €250 is per buggy, whether two, three or four of you go.
