When someone asks "how much is a buggy tour in Lanzarote?", the short answer misleads: the same tour costs €75 or €150 per person depending on how many climb in. Here are the sums done for groups of 2, 3, 4 and 6, the difference between booking on GetYourGuide and directly with the operator, and which extras turn up on the day.

All prices are "from" prices in euros, as listed on 6 October 2026. They may change depending on the option you choose.

Price per buggy, not per person

Every operator on the island charges per vehicle. On GetYourGuide it shows as "per group up to 2" or "per group up to 4": that's 2 or 4 people in the same buggy, not an individual price.

TypePrice per buggyPer person (full)
2-seat quad, 1.5 h (south)€75€37.50
2-seat buggy, off-road (Costa Teguise)€150€75
2-seat buggy, Can-Am (Puerto Calero or Lanzabuggy)€170€85
Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo€230€115
3-seat trike€150€50
4-seat on-road buggy (Lanzabuggy)€160€40
4-seat on-road buggy (H2O)€180€45
4-seat off-road buggy (H2O)€200€50
4-seat buggy, Puerto del Carmen (Paracraft)€250€62.50
6-seat buggy, 2 h (H2O, on its website)€270€45

The rule of thumb: the more seats you fill, the cheaper per head. A 4-seater with two people in it costs more per person than a 2-seater.

How much is a buggy in Lanzarote for 2, 3, 4 or 6 people?

For two. The cheapest buggy option is H2O's off-road tour from Costa Teguise: €150, €75 each. Booking direct, there are two 2-hour options that aren't on GetYourGuide: Lanzabuggy's Can-Am Trail and Buggies Lanzarote's Volcano Run, both at €130 (€65 each). The southern quad, at €75 for two, is shorter and has very few reviews. See dates for the Costa Teguise off-road tour.

For three. Don't put three people in two 2-seat buggies (€300, €100 each). Lanzabuggy's trike takes three for €150 (€50 each), but it's road only and helmets on. A 4-seater with one empty seat also pays off: €160 with Lanzabuggy (about €53 each) or €180 with H2O (€60).

For four. This is where you save most. Lanzabuggy's 4-seat on-road tour comes to €40 each; H2O's from Puerto del Carmen, €45; H2O's 4-seat off-road, €50. Two 2-seat buggies would cost €300, which is €75 each. See the 4-seat on-road buggy.

For six. H2O sells a 6-seat buggy on its website: €270 for 2 hours (€45 each) and €340 for 3 hours (about €57). The alternative is two Lanzabuggy 4-seaters with three in each: €320, about €53 each. Three 2-seat buggies would climb to €450. More on 4- and 6-seat buggies.

GetYourGuide or booking direct: which is cheaper?

On most tours the list price is the same on GetYourGuide and on the operator's website. The differences are with three companies:

Duo package, Paracraft€200€193.463% cheaper direct
Trio package, Paracraft€300€290.193% cheaper direct

What the table doesn't show is the terms. GetYourGuide allows free cancellation up to 24 hours before and charges no booking fee; on several tours you can reserve now and pay later. Paracraft doesn't accept cancellations on direct bookings: only a date change with 24 hours' notice. With the wind or calima (Saharan dust haze) the island can get, that €7 to €10 saving can prove expensive.

With Buggies Lanzarote the maths is simpler: if your date is fixed, booking on its website saves about €20 per buggy. We look at it in the Buggies Lanzarote review.

Hotel pick-up: what it adds

  • H2O Sports: optional pick-up at €5 per person. For four, that's €20 more; the €180 on-road tour becomes €200 (€50 each). You wait outside reception 10 minutes beforehand; the driver waits 5 minutes at most.
  • Lanzabuggy: 32 pick-up points in Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca. The cost for buggies isn't published: ask when you book.
  • Buggies Lanzarote: no pick-up offered on its website; you make your own way to the marina at Puerto Calero.
  • Local resellers: some advertise pick-up included at the same price, but charge a non-refundable deposit in return (see below).

If you're staying near the base, getting there yourself saves the supplement. From Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise is about 45 minutes by car: there, the pick-up is worth it.

What's included and what costs extra

Included, according to what the operators publish:

  • Guide and driving the buggy in convoy.
  • Insurance (H2O states this explicitly).
  • Helmet, dust goggles and windbreaker with H2O; goggles with Buggies Lanzarote.
  • Coffee at the La Geria winery on Buggies Lanzarote tours; the 3-hour one adds a small wine tasting.
  • On Paracraft's packages: guide, buggy fuel and life jackets for the jet ski.

Extra or variable:

  • Pick-up (see above).
  • Photos: according to a review published on H2O's website, the guide takes photos and offers them afterwards for €15.
  • Deposit: no operator publishes one. If you're asked for one at the desk, ask the amount before you sign.

Resellers with a deposit: same price, different terms

Besides GetYourGuide and the operators, several agencies on the island sell buggy tours. excursionslanzarote.com and lanzaroteon.com are the same company, Markit Tech Ventures Ltd, based in Gibraltar. They charge the same €150, €170 or €180 list prices, but ask for a non-refundable 25% deposit and, if you cancel, deduct €25 in fees. Their real advantage is pick-up from every hotel and paying most of it on the day. We explain it under booking platforms.

If the rules change, what happens to your booking?

On 2 October 2026 the Cabildo de Lanzarote (the island council) opened a one-month public consultation on a bylaw that could restrict or ban buggies and quads on tracks and rural land. There is no ban in force today. Even so, routes may move onto tarmac, and H2O warns on its listings that the route may vary and that there are no refunds for reasons beyond its control. If you book well ahead, free cancellation up to 24 hours before is cheap insurance.

How to save on a buggy tour

  1. Fill the buggy. A 4-seater with four people costs between €40 and €50 a head.
  2. Look at the 2-hour versions when booking direct: €130 with Lanzabuggy and with Buggies Lanzarote.
  3. Book Buggies Lanzarote on its website if you don't need to cancel: about €20 less.
  4. Make your own way to the base if you're close by, and save €5 per person with H2O.
  5. Compare per person, not per buggy. The comparison of all 13 tours has the column worked out.
  6. Don't overpay for power if it's your first time: the Can-Am Trail costs €60 less than the Maverick Turbo. See the Can-Am Trail.
