GetYourGuide for Lanzarote buggy tours: our review, prices and the small print

GetYourGuide sells almost every Lanzarote buggy tour at the same price as the operator, from €150 per two-seater buggy, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. It's our partner, so we also tell you where it falls short: a confusing per-group price and two operators that are cheaper direct.

Quick verdict

Good for: anyone who wants free cancellation up to the day before, the option to pay later on several tours, and reviews from customers who actually booked (H2O's off-road tour has over 5,500, the biggest pool on the island).

Not ideal for: anyone with a fixed date going with Buggies Lanzarote or Paracraft, which are cheaper direct, or anyone after something it doesn't list, such as H2O's 3-hour north tour.

Which buggy tours does GetYourGuide sell in Lanzarote?

Lanzarote's quad and ATV category showed 12 results on 6 October 2026, one of them in Tenerife. These are the ones that matter:

There's also H2O's guided Can-Am Ryker, from €140. Everything is guided: there is no self-drive buggy hire.

The "per group" price: the most common mix-up

Every buggy listing says "per group up to 2" or "per group up to 4". It means per vehicle: €150 is the whole buggy for two people, about €75 each if there are two of you. On Lanzabuggy's 4-seater, €160 split four ways is €40 a head. Only the Corralejo day trip ("group up to 1") is charged per person.

The shop may also show you another currency even if you ask for euros: switch it before you compare.

Cancellation, payment and fees

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before on every buggy and quad in the list; refunds take 3 to 5 working days.
  • Reserve now and pay later: confirmed on eight products, including H2O's off-road and on-road tours, Lanzabuggy's Trail and Maverick, and the Puerto Calero tour. For the rest, check the listing. The charge is taken 72 hours before the tour.
  • No booking fees, and a price match if you see the same product from the same supplier for less.

Small print: H2O warns that if the route changes for reasons outside the company's control, there's no refund. And on 2 October 2026 the Cabildo (the island council) opened a public consultation that could restrict buggies on dirt tracks and rural land. Nothing is banned yet, but routes could move onto tarmac: check the route when you book.

Price: GetYourGuide or booking direct?

On most tours there's no difference. H2O and Lanzabuggy charge the same on their own websites as on GetYourGuide. The exceptions:

OperatorGetYourGuideDirectWhat matters more
Buggies Lanzarote, 3 h€170€160, minus €10 onlineDirect saves €20
Paracraft, Buggy Adventure 4-seater€250€241.82Direct allows no cancellation
Paracraft, Pack Duo€200€193.46As above

With Paracraft, paying 3 % more to be able to cancel is usually worth it; with Buggies Lanzarote, if your date is certain, its own website wins. More on operators and platforms.

What GetYourGuide reviews keep saying

On Trustpilot, GetYourGuide scores 3.9 out of 5 from over 56,000 reviews: 68 % five-star and 19 % one-star. It replies to almost all the negative ones.

The complaints are about cancelled or overbooked tours, last-minute changes, unclear meeting points and unexpected charges; the praise is for the guides and how easy it is to book. These are reviews of the platform worldwide: for the tour itself, see the reviews of each buggy tour.

Weak points

  • Missing products: H2O's 3-hour north tour is on Viator but not on GetYourGuide; Lanzabuggy's 2-hour Trail (€130) and its Family Mix can only be booked on its own website.
  • Confusing labels: H2O's off-road tours carry a "Playa Blanca" tag, although they start in Costa Teguise. Read the meeting point.
  • The ranking isn't neutral: the category states that the order takes revenue into account, including commissions from suppliers.
  • Your contract is with the local operator: if there's a problem on the day, the buggy company deals with it first.

How to book it properly

Pick the route and starting point first (Costa Teguise for the north, Puerto Calero or Yaiza for La Geria), then check what the price covers and, finally, the driver requirements: H2O asks for age 20 and an original licence held for two years; Lanzabuggy, 21 (18 on the Trail); Paracraft, 22. Details in licence and age.
